To install the mf.pl do the following:

Untar the mf distribution into a temporary directory with the command

tar -zxf mf-0.7.tar.gz

and descend into that directory.
If y0ou find this file, you have succeeded (:-)). Copy the file mf.pl
somewhere in your path, I recommend /usr/local/bin if you're on a Linux system.
Run it with mf.pl -h once and check out the options and you're off!
